SBA Agrees to Raze Structures at Rocky Point;
Will Go to Court for Permission
to Hire Crews, Remove Debris
WARWICK – The Small Business Administration has agreed to raze buildings at the former Rocky Point amusement park, Mayor Scott Avedisian said today.
In addition, the SBA will be on site on Friday to meet with city officials to discuss their next course of action – which will include seeking court approval to hire demolition crews and remove debris from the site.
“We are pleased that the SBA has agreed to remove these unsafe structures and look forward to working with them to make sure that this nuisance does not pose any future threats to the neighborhood or public safety,” Avedisian said.
