Avedisian announces new economic development website
WARWICK – Mayor Scott Avedisian announced today that the city’s new economic development website is now live and accessible to the public at www.movetowarwickri.com.
“The look of the site is designed to complement our existing tourism website and, more importantly, to make it more convenient for companies to do business in and with the City of Warwick,” he said.
The site, designed by Artinium Designs, Inc., the city’s advertising agency of record, offers a variety of information and resources for existing businesses or for companies looking to expand, open in or relocate to Warwick. Links provide visitors with municipal demographics, data relative to the local labor force, city and state initiatives and incentives and Warwick’s top 10 employers.
There’s also information about the business climate, the Station District and T.F. Green Airport, a listing of local, state and federal business resources and area housing, health care and educational facilities. Utility and telecommunication links and facts regarding local infrastructure and transportation options are included as well.
“Today’s business executives demand easily accessible, free flowing data available at their fingertips, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This website will offer such access,” said Karen Jedson, director of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Development.
