Police Department’s 2003 annual report now available online

WARWICK – The Police Department’s 2003 annual report is now online for the public’s perusal, Mayor Scott Avedisian announced today.

The report contains a message from Colonel Stephen McCartney, a photo gallery of the department’s command staff and an organizational chart of the department, as well as an overview of the divisions, or, for those looking for more in-depth information, detailed explanations of each unit, platoon, services such as animal control and licensing and the specialized units – SWAT team, Dive team, and K-9.

The report gives an in-depth accounting of 2003 crime statistics, from calls for service to traffic accidents and property loss, to a list of offenses by month, location and time of day. It gives statistics on arrests by time of day and the race, sex and age of offenders as well as an accounting of victims by race, sex and age, the type of crime by month, the relationship of victim to offender by victim age, and types of injuries.
