Avedisian announces municipal website promotion of athletic, recreational groups
WARWICK – As part of an ongoing effort to promote recreational and athletic programs available throughout the city, Mayor Scott Avedisian announced today that the Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with the MIS Division, will offer free space at warwickri.gov for any qualified Warwick group.
Deputy Director Mickey Rooney will be writing to groups to offer the free promotion, and will include a one-page application form for agency presidents or coordinators to fill out and return to the city.
The web pages will provide contact information, descriptions of the organization and space for one picture or logo, Avedisian said. Those groups that already have their own website will still be allowed to participate, with a link to their site added to their section. Each organization will be responsible for providing web master Robert Martin with updated information when applicable.
