Warwick 2006 calendars to arrive in residents’ mailboxes within the week

WARWICK – Mayor Scott Avedisian announced today that the City of Warwick 2006 calendars will be mailed to approximately 30,000 households within the week.

The 12-month calendar, prepared by the Department of Public Works’ Recycling and Sanitation Division, contains a information regarding yard waste schedules, recycling information, trash collection delays, automated trash collection tips, where to purchase yard waste bags, how to dispose of holiday items and municipal recycling facility hours.

Each month features a color photograph. A listing of each fire station and library branch location (as well as library branch hours of operation) are also included, along with the phone numbers of virtually every municipal department.

Avedisian said that the calendars have been printed in lieu of the quarterly Recycler and other informational flyers regarding recycling and sanitation that have traditionally been mailed throughout the year. Therefore, residents are asked to keep calendars in a convenient location throughout the year, as they provide all necessary trash and recycling collection information.

A limited number of calendars will be available at the Department of Public Works and the Public Library, both on Sandy Lane , at the end of the month for people who do not receive them by mail.
