Citizen Survey Announcement

Beginning Friday, October 1, 2004, 4,000 randomly selected Warwick residents and merchants will be receiving a wide-ranging survey questionnaire designed to measure citizen attitudes and opinions of the Warwick Police Department. Survey respondents will be asked to grade the department's performance in an effort to identify strengths and weaknesses as well as offer suggestions for improvement. Survey results will assist the Warwick Police management in assessing overall community relations and provide reliable feedback impacting police operations. The cornerstone of the Warwick Police will always be our commitment to providing exceptional service to the community. The survey finding will ensure this continued devotion to service remains consistent with public expectations.

Senior students and faculty from Salve Regina University will administer the survey as well as report the findings. Research students will compile the survey data utilizing the results derived from the questionnaire as well as feedback offered through face-to-face and pre-arranged telephone interviews. In order to maintain survey integrity, questionnaires will not be available via the internet. warwick residents and merchants may obtain a survey questionnaire or arrange for an interview by contacting the project coordinator Mr. Knight at 341-3255.
