Dear Friends,
I would like to welcome you to the website for the City of Warwick’s Tax Assessor’s Office.
Although Warwick is Rhode Island’s second largest city, with a population of over 85,000, it is comprised of more than 30 villages and has the close-knit feel of a much smaller community. With over 39 miles of coastline, exceptional recreational facilities, quality schools and a blend of residential and business areas, Warwick remains a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.
As you know, the city has recently begun a statistical revaluation, which, by state law, must be completed every three years. On this site, you will be able to find a variety of information, including the most up-to-date data relating to any residential or commercial property within the city. There is also information about tax rates, how the Assessor’s Office operates and how to contact its staff. You will also be able to access GIS maps of any parcel, including its surrounding area.
Because this is a statistical revaluation, the process will not require a visit to all properties. Rather, any property that has sold in past three years will receive a questionnaire in conjunction with a site visit. I wish to thank Warwick’s property owners in advance for their cooperation in this process. The City has entered into a contract with Vision Appraisal to complete this project.
I hope you find this site informative and will take the time to review the information here. If you have comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Assessor’s Office.
Sincerely,
Scott Avedisian
Mayor
