CHILDREN’S SKATING PROGRAM
Basic Learn to Skate for Figure skaters and Beginner Hockey
Thayer Arena, Warwick, RI
THURSDAYS – 5-6PM
Ages 4-Adult

WINTER SESSION –THURSDAYS 5:00-6:00PM
January 6, 2011-March 24, 2011    12 WEEKS
Bring a friend- March 24, 2011   $130.00 plus $10.00 registration

FULL PAYMENT REQUIRED at registration (one time $10.00 registration fee)

The United States Figure Skating Basic Learn-To-Skate Program for both hockey and figure skaters will be taught. Badges may be earned and purchased at the end of the session. . There will be a 25 minute lesson and 25 minute practice session. Classes are grouped according to age and ability. IT IS HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED THAT ALL CHILDREN SEVEN YEARS AND UNDER MUST WEAR HELMETS. GLOVES ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL. HEADBANDS AND EARMUFFS DO NOT GIVE PROTECTION. CHEWING GUM IS NOT ALLOWED.

As part of an ongoing effort to promote recreational and athletic programs available throughout the city, the Parks and Recreation Department offers free webspace at warwickri.gov for any qualified Warwick group.

INSTRUCTORS WANTED

The City of Warwick Recreation Dept is in search of individuals with special skills they are willing to share with all age groups and ability levels. Instructors are key in our efforts to meet the lifelong learning and recreational needs of the Warwick citizens. Classes can be a onetime workshop or a series.
Some examples of classes but not limited to:

Fitness/Dance
Fine Arts/Crafts/Decorating
Self Defense/Martial Arts
Music
Cuisine/Nutrition
Language
