Residents and business owners are reminded that it is their responsibility to make sure that sidewalks in front of their property are shoveled and cleared of ice as soon as possible after any snowstorms this winter.
Flood hazard maps, also known as Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), are important tools in the effort to protect lives and properties in Warwick. They indicate the risk for flooding throughout the City. However, the current maps are out of date and an extensive Flood Map Modernization Program is currently underway nationwide.

Residents and business owners are reminded that it is their responsibility to make sure that sidewalks in front of their property are shoveled and cleared of ice as soon as possible after any snowstorms this winter. A number of Warwick residents walk, either for enjoyment or practical purposes. City and public safety officials are concerned that when sidewalks aren’t cleared people are forced to walk in the street, which puts their safety at risk and poses an additional hazard for drivers. |
