Description: The primary goal of the McDermott Aquatic Center is to provide a year round, clean, safe, and functional recreational and competitive swimming facility for both resident and non-resident, youth, and adult patrons. Also, the department has the goal to achieve a balance between returns and expenditures.

Athletic Organizations

As part of an ongoing effort to promote recreational and athletic programs available throughout the city, the Parks and Recreation Department offers free webspace at warwickri.gov for any qualified Warwick group.

From fishing and boating to beaches and cool breezes, Warwick's 39 miles of coastline along Narragansett Bay provides ample opportunities for waterfront enthusiasts!

INSTRUCTORS WANTED

The City of Warwick Recreation Dept is in search of individuals with special skills they are willing to share with all age groups and ability levels. Instructors are key in our efforts to meet the lifelong learning and recreational needs of the Warwick citizens. Classes can be a onetime workshop or a series.
Some examples of classes but not limited to:

Fitness/Dance
Fine Arts/Crafts/Decorating
Self Defense/Martial Arts
Music
Cuisine/Nutrition
Language
