Students, parents invited to attend "The National Save A Life Tour" program Print
High-impact alcohol awareness event will be held Monday

The city’s Youth Services Division and the Warwick Youth Programs Task Force, in collaboration with Rhode Island Substance Prevention, invite students and parents to take part in The National Save a Life Tour on Monday.

The event, which will run from noon to 6 p.m. at Pilgrim High School, 111 Pilgrim Parkway, is meant to help open the lines of communication between parents and students regarding the dangers of drinking and driving. The day includes a 3:30 p.m. presentation to which the general public (including residents of other communities) is invited. Mayor Scott Avedisian will attend the presentation and offer welcoming remarks.

The tour itself (www.savealifetour) is a high-impact, alcohol awareness and anti-drinking and driving program that relies on a multi-media presentation, including a “no holds barred” video and a unique drinking and driving simulation experience, to deliver its message.
