Description:
The purchasing division is required to efficiently supply the City of Warwick with goods and services in order to meet the committments to the general public.

Major Responsibilities:
It is this division's goal to properly supply and fulfill the needs of the various departments within the City government by purchasing items required to fulfill each departments needs while at the same time complying with the rules and procedures dictated by the state and local government.

  • To efficiently and accurately bid those items required by government.
  • Achieve the best pricing for items or services purchased.
  • To serve the vendors fairly and strive to pay them in a timely manner.
  • To make as seamless as possible the effective supplying of the departments with their requirements to operate efficiently.
  • Maintain a good line of communication with department heads in order to properly communicate needs.
