Paper |

Preparation:
Place in green bin. All mixed paper and boxboard
can be mixed together. Use paper bags for excess
materials.
Examples: Mail, envelopes (window OK),
magazines & catalogs, phonebooks, writing/ledger
paper, paperbacks, paper bags, greeting cards,
wrapping paper, shredded paper, fax paper, computer
paper.
Exceptions: Paper
towels, tissues or napkins, cigarette packs, candy
wrappers, waxed or plastic-coated paper, tissue
paper, foil wrapping paper .

| Newspapers
|
|
Preparation:
Set
out in green bin, brown paper bags, or tied with
strings.
Examples: All newspapers, ads and inserts.
Exceptions: Do
not put in a plastic bag!

Cardboard |
|
Preparation:
Flatten
and tie with string. Bundles must be less than
3 feet long or wide, no thicker than 8".
Place next to your recycling bin.
Examples: Boxes and other corrugated
cardboard.
Exceptions: No
dirty or greasy cardboard, pizza boxes or Asian
cardboard (waxy).

Preparation:Place
in green bin with mixed paper, but throw away
package plastic or was liners.
Examples: All
boxboard: Shoe boxes, cereal boxes, pasta boxes
(window ok), toilet paper rolls, gift boxes, cake
mix boxes, toothpaste boxes, tissue boxes, paper
egg cartons.
Exceptions: No
take-out or frozen food boxes, soda or beer packaging,
soap or laundry detergent boxes, boxes with silver
or foil coatings, and nothing dirty, greasy or
plastic-coated.

| Holiday
Paper

Preparation:
For
the first collection after Christmas (one week
only), you may place items in yard waste bags.
Place bags at curbside next to your blue bin,
that week only.
Examples: Wrapping
paper, gift boxes, cardboard boxes.
Exceptions: Do
not bag with plastic bags. This collection is
one week only.
