Yard
Waste 2001
You should have received your
2001 Yard Waste Collection Schedule by now, which was distributed
in your recycling bin. The change in yard waste collections
from weekly to biweekly will go into effect on Tuesday,
October 9th and continue through mid-December. If you did
not receive the yard waste collection schedule in your bin,
you can pick one up at any of the locations that sell the
yard waste bags or at the Public Works Department on Sandy
Lane. You may also click here to view the schedule online.
When obtaining a yard waste
schedule, please make certain that you take the schedule
that pertains to your regular garbage collection day.
Remember: Grass clippings,
leaves and garden debris (No sand, dirt or rocks please!)
must be placed in biodegradable 30 gallon paper bags, or
in barrels marked with an official "YARD DEBRIS
ONLY" sticker. The stickers are available at the
Public Works Department. Brush must be bundled and tied
in four-foot lengths and set along side of your bags or
barrels (a separate truck collects the brush).
