Give your Christmas
tree back to nature.... RECYCLE IT! Christmas trees are
due to be collected separately by the Highway Department the
first two weeks of January, weather permitting.
The trees will be
collected on the same day as your regular trash.
Here's all you have
to do:
-
Put
your Christmas tree out on your regularly scheduled trash
day, by 7am.
-
Remove
all artificial decorations such as tinsel, garland, plastic
ornaments, lights and bulbs.
-
PLEASE
DO NOT PUT TREES IN PLASTIC BAGS; ..............AND PLEASE
NO ARTIFICIAL TREES!
The trees that are
collected will be brought to the Warwick Municipal Recycling
Facility, and faster than Santa can say "HO-ho-ho!"
they will be recycled into mulch. The Christmas tree wood
chips are available to residents free of charge.
