Yard Waste Dos and Don'ts

DO... DO NOT...
  DO Place grass and leaves and garden debris in 30 gallon biodegradable paper bags or in barrels with the "Yard Debris Only" stickers. Stickers can be obtained at the Dept. of Public Works, 925 Sandy Lane. DO NOT use plastic bags.
DO Tie branches in bundles 4 feet in length and place them next to your bags or barrels. A separate truck will collect them. DO NOT place foreign matter such as rocks, dirt, garbage, car parts, etc. in paper bags.
DO Place material at curbside by 7 am on your collection day. DO NOT put sand in the bags. Let the street sweepers pick it up.
DO Mix branches less than 6 inches in length and less than 3/4 of an inch in diameter in the bags with the grass and leaves. DO NOT put large sticks or branches in the bags. They will not be collected.
    DO NOT place stumps in the bag. No stumps are accepted.
