3/14/2020 - Update

With the closure of schools as part of the comprehensive statewide effort to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Mayor Solomon is urging parents, guardians, and students to recognize and honor the intent of the school closure. The next week should not be treated as a school vacation, when children congregate at malls, restaurants, and other venues; rather, is a time for our students to remain at home to help prevent the disease from spreading to other Rhode Islanders. We appreciate your cooperation with this directive from the Governor and the State Department of Health to help stem the growing tide of the virus.

With Mayor Solomon advising members of the public to practice social distancing as much as possible, many people are trying to refrain from entering public buildings. Mayor Solomon is reminding Warwick residents that if they need to make a payment for a tax bill (including real estate, motor vehicle and personal property), utility bill (water and sewer) or sewer assessment bill that they can do so online at https://www.warwickri.gov/tax-collectors. Please note that a nominal fee will apply to online payments.

The Tax Collector's Office, which is located at 3027 West Shore Road, also has an outside drop box that is monitored on a daily basis. If you need to reach someone in the Tax Collector's Office, please call 401-738-2002. Please be advised that the office is receiving an influx of calls, so if a representative is unavailable, please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible and in the order in which it was received.

Payments may also be mailed to our lockbox processing center at the address below. As a reminder, the next quarterly payment for taxes is due on or before April 15, 2020; utility bills are due on May 2, 2020; sewer assessment bills are due May 15, 2020.
