December & January Floods Informational Session With the SBA Tomorrow Please join the SBA RI, CT, and MA District Offices as they are joined by members of the Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience team to learn about SBA recovery resources and the low-interest federal disaster loans available due to the flooding that occurred December 17-19, 2023, and January 9-13, 2024.
If you are a small business owner, homeowner or renter in Providence, Kent, and Washington counties in Rhode Island, you may apply for Physical Damage and/or Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) beginning immediately. The contiguous counties of Bristol in Rhode Island, Bristol, Norfolk, and Worcester in Massachusetts, and New London and Windham County in Connecticut affected by this event may apply for Economic Injury for their small business. Applications for disaster loans may be submitted online using the MySBA Loan Portal at https://lending.sba.gov
Application Deadlines Physical Damage: May 20, 2024 Economic Injury: December 23, 2024
Interest Rates Business Loans: 4% fixed for the life of the loan Home Loans: 2.688% fixed for the life of the loan
Amount Limits Business Loan: $2,000,000 Home Loan: $500,000 real estate | $100,000 personal property
Loan Terms Up to 30 years. SBA will determine an appropriate installment payment based on the financial condition of each borrower, which in turn will determine the loan term. Borrowers may be required to provide collateral.
