2023 Tax Bills Issued with a "Grace Period" for 1st quarter payments until July 31st

2023 Tax Bills are available on-line at www.citizenselfservice.com/mss/ and a "Grace Period" for 1st quarter payments has been issued until July 31st

2023 Residential Tax Rate: $14.19 / thousand (Down from $18.73) 

2023 Commercial Tax Rate: $24.83 / thousand (Down from $28.10)

  • The tax bills have been on-line and payable since Monday June 26th, but the paper copies were still being processed as of the date of this posting.
  • Because the first quarter payments are due July 15th, no interest will be charged at least through the end of July (the official due date will remain July 15th, but we will waive any interest charges as long as the first quarter is paid by July 31st)

The valuations reflect the results of a recently completed revaluation by the City of Warwick, RI in conjunction with Vision Government Solutions, Inc. The effective date of the revaluation was December 31, 2022. These assessments are intended to represent the Fair Market Value of each property as of the date of assessment. 

Property owners that do not believe that they can sell their property for the assessed valuation, may appeal their assessment through October 15, 2023. Appeal forms are available on the Assessor's Department page, or in person in the Assessor's Office (65 Centerville Road)
